Yet again another apology for the poor show in getting my monthly blog out to you all. It has been all go here and I cannot believe that we are in April already!!
So what has been going on? Well we have finally moved house and are now permanent residents in the beautiful county of Cornwall. It has taken two long years but we are finally here. There is plenty of work on the house to do and my studio needs to be built, but all in good time. I have currently set up my studio in part of the house and it probably won’t be long before I am moved on from there to another room as we start the renovation work. But I am happy where I am for the time being. I have written all my essays ready to start painting and as soon as I have two final projects to complete I will get started on the new pieces.
So what have I been up to in the meantime? Well I am part of The Bloomz Arthouse Collective and instead of our annual online/in person art gallery we have a 8 part YouTube Series which started last Saturday with a YouTube Premiere. Each month one of the artists set the other six a challenge to create a piece of art in the style of that artist. All the Bloomz members are all working with different materials and in different ways. So with the challenges set, we, the artists film ourselves creating the pieces and the with his wizardry Steve Brookes edits and narrates the episodes into the format that you can sit and enjoy in the comfort of your own home.
