Walking in October

Hi All,

I’m late again with my blog but I have a good reason. I have been raising money for Pancreatic Cancer UK by walking everyday in October. It was supposed to be 31 miles in 31 days but I have seemed to have caught the walking bug and end up walking 104 miles in 31 days, so I am pretty chuffed with that. I managed to raise £791.00 plus the gift aid taking it to £928.00 which I am so pleased about. Thank you to all of you who have donated and offered your support I couldn’t have done it without you all.

While out and about walking through many beautiful places I took plenty of photographs to use as inspiration or even within my multimedia pieces. So I cannot wait to get stuck in creating more work with the inspiration of nature. That will require more essays to be written and research done, which as the nights are drawing in is the perfect time to get writing as the best light in the studio is natural light for me to paint in will be now limited until the clocks go forward in the Spring.

So I was hoping to give you previews of some new pieces of work by now but alas it hasn’t happened as yet. We are still waiting to move house and there have been lots of ups and downs involved with that BUT rest assured new work will be coming

Now I am going to get my next entry out before the end of November and hopefully a piece of new work too so please do check back or sign up to my newsletter.

Take care

Sammy xx
