So that is it, finally the end of 2021.
There has been lots of confusion, sadness and anger displayed throughout the world this past year, but also things to be grateful for. That is what we need to remember and hold true, while at the same time not forgetting all those we need to hold accountable for their actions that have impacted on us and the society we live in, in a negative way. We must focus on the positives and what we can do for one another to create better days ahead for each other.
On a personal note I have so much gratitude to show for the safe arrival of three new babies within my family who brought us so much joy and will continue to do so, of that I am certain.
So what will 2022 bring in relation to my artwork? Well I have already two exhibitions set in the diary for 2022. The first is with The Bloomz Arthouse Collective on the 29th and 30th of April. If you haven’t attended before it is an online show unlike you have attended before. It is live and interactive offering you the opportunity to speak to all the artists present while seeing their work. Last year we had 3 shows but as more physical art shows are opening up we have decided to have only one show this year and moving forward. More information will follow with our advertising campaign starting in March.
In the diary for September I will be exhibiting for the first time at The Contemporary Art Fair at Sandown Race Course, Esher 23rd, 24th and 25th September. I will post more information about the Art Fair nearer the time.
New Work – I am in the process of finishing my essays in preparation of creating new work. The theme I am focusing on for this series is love and joy. There will be 12 pieces in this series of various size. After spending last year creating my original artwork from my journal of 2020, following the news reports from around the world, I needed to take hold and embrace the love that was and is being shared within our world. These pieces will be shown as a complete series for the first time at The Bloomz Online exhibition. I will post work in progress on my social media pages so please check in on those.
So I guess all that it leaves me to say is to wish you all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year for 2022.
